It seems that a tuner with a remote control (wow!  high end!) costs
about $450.  But I wasn't counting that; I was just going by what I
was told by the NextByte salesman.

So, as one of the pro-Apple people on the list (and also one of the
people to blame for me even thinking about this :-), what's your take
on my original questions?
