I bought the zyxel because Mr. Hackett was raving about them (I may
have to have stern words to him ;), mind you, I have not been
disappointed with it so far - I am on Internode ADSL2+, given how far
I am from the exchange (1.3km) I am getting about what I would expect
for ADSL2, the connection is solid with very few drop outs and I was
able to achieve line rate through the modem to a machine on the PIPE
backbone.  The CPU on the router spikes up sometimes but most of the
time is pretty low when I have looked (hmmm maybe I should see if
cacti can graph that for me...).  About the only real complaint
I have at the moment is there are no 0.5 hour timezones supported, I
would _like_ the ipsec stuff but I ipsec all I really care about
anyway.

Sounds like zyxel may have improved their firmware a lot since you
last looked at them.
