I don't believe you did.

A device that actually performs the job it is supposed to do?
Seriously, work evaluated a bunch of iPAQ devices because HP supply
all our desktops and the wintel servers and they wanted to keep the
same supplier. In the end work sent the iPAQs back because there were
too many problems with them. Don't ask me to enumerate, I don't know
what they were but they were serious enough for work to dump the iPAQ
for a more expensive device from another supplier.
Also the xda has in built wireless. Oddly enough, the xda II (note
the no i there) did have a keyboard that would slide out from the
bottom but it looks like O2 dropped in in the updated model. IMHO the
keyboard was crap anyway, little bubble keys that either did not
respond or key bounced.
As for handwriting recognition, I wouldn't rely on the pocket pc
version, the system is shockingly bad compared to the WinCE one. I
have an old iPAQ that still has WinCE on it, even with my bad
handwriting the recognition rate and speed are very good (tricks like
doing an up stroke for the i help a lot :)
