Call for Papers

AUUG invites proposals for presentations relating to:

  • Backup and Restore systems - backing up mobile data
  • Hardware and Software Configuration Management
  • User Management, Authentication and Authorisation
  • LDAP
  • Which MTA is right for me?
  • Which OS is right for me?
  • Strategies for service restoration
  • Software distribution strategies
  • Heterogeneous System Integration
  • Avoiding Vendor Lock-in

Or other topics related to the systems administration of Unix, Linux and related systems.

A panel sessions may also be timetabled in the symposium and speakers should indicate their willingness to participate, and may like to suggest panel topics.

The AUUG 2005 conference offers an unparalleled opportunity to present your ideas and experiences to an audience with a major influence on the direction of computing in Australia.

Speaker sessions will be 40 minutes, and should consist of a 30 minute talk and 10 minutes for Q&A. Note that for one day symposia a written paper is appreciated but is not required.

Speaker Incentives

Presenters receive free registration to the symposium. (Note: Limit of one free registration per presentation.)

Submission Guidelines

If you are interested in making a presentation you should send an extended abstract and a brief biography.

Authors notified: 14 June 2005
